TFL offers DVS respite for vehicle operators but booking is necessary

Vehicle Safety News

TFL have confirmed there will be an "allow list" for vehicles booked for a safe system equipment fitting.

Thousands of vehicles are yet to be granted a permit - Book your slot today

With less than a month to TFL's deadline on gaining a safety permit under their Direct Vision Standard, London's transport authority have offered flexibility to the many operators who are yet to be approved. TFL's "Allow List" will mean that vehicle operators who have either applied for their permit (but not received it) or are in the process of having safe system equipment fitted, will be added to said list. This will prevent them from incurring Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) for up to 90-days from the enforcement date of March 1st.

Having fitted systems for operators already Sentinel are ideally placed with to install safe systems to any vehicles requiring them.

Sentinel MD John Little stated "This is welcome flexibility from TfL who clearly recognise all the challenges operators have faced over the past 12 months. Sentinel have fitted DVS safe systems to a range of vehicles from haulage, to construction, to food logistics, to refuse vehicles, and our experts are ready to advise you today on our high quality products and services."
